Limerick City and County Council is progressing the development of the N/M20 Cork to Limerick Project in partnership with Cork County Council, Cork City Council, Transport Infrastructure Ireland, and the Department of Transport.  The project is a priority investment in the Government’s National Development Plan 2021-2030.

Limerick City and County Council published the N/M20 Preferred Transport Solution in March 2022, and subsequently published a project update in February 2023. The transport solution is not limited to consideration of a single mode of transport but is based upon a holistic, multi modal view to improving connectivity between the cities of Cork and Limerick, and ultimately Galway. Following consideration of extensive feedback from stakeholders and the public together with evolving transport policy, the project team continue to progress Phase 3 – Design and Environmental Evaluation for the N/M20 Cork to Limerick Project.

The November 2023 project update will be the second in a series of project updates that will take place during Phase 3 as the project team work to develop the design and the environmental evaluation for the project. The project update information will be available to view on the project website www.corklimerick.ie and in person at the N/M20 Project Office from 11am on Monday 27th November 2023. Maps will be available to view at local authority offices in Cork, Mallow, Kilmallock and Limerick from Wednesday 29th November 2023.

Public online webinars will be hosted by the project team at 7pm on the 29th November and the 6th December, with login details provided below.
